In contrast, wireless charging tops out around 25 watts, a speed only achievable when magnetic rings like MagSafe or the new Qi2 standard perfectly align the internal coils. Without this precise alignment, energy leaks into the surrounding environment as heat rather than battery power. Experts emphasize that selecting a case specifically certified for these magnetic standards is crucial for minimizing energy loss and maximizing charging velocity.

This friction highlights a significant dilemma for modern consumers who must balance device protection against daily convenience. With flagship smartphone prices soaring well past a thousand dollars, users naturally demand heavy-duty cases to safeguard their investments against accidental drops. Yet, these very shields often cripple the high-tech wireless features built into the phones.
